Word of warning: don’t enter a dance-off with JoJo Siwa until you’ve put in all the work.
Siwa stopped by The Tonight Show for a chat with its host Jimmy Fallon. But first, a dance off. It proved a dangerous move for Fallon, a breeze for Siwa.
The spot started with Siwa unleashing her best to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License,” then Fallon tackled Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved.”
When faced with a slow number, Siwa lifted it a notch. Fallon was beat.
“Every time you come on the show, we do a little dance off. And you always crush me,” Fallon said afterwards.
“I just got my breath,” he continued. “The audience knows, but during the commercial break they came out with an oxygen tank. And it was sad.”
For Siwa, it was a neat warmup for the real thing. She’ll participate on Dancing With the Stars, starting Monday (her partner in the series is female. They’re the first same-sex coupling on DWTS, apparently), a tour is set to begin in January, and her musical film The J Team is new to Paramount+.
There’s no update, however, on whether she’ll be allowed to perform J Team numbers on her tour.
