Jesy Nelson is taking a step back from Little Mix to focus on her health.
A statement received by BBC on Tuesday (Nov. 17) said, “Jesy is having extended time off from Little Mix for private medical reasons. We will not be issuing any further comment currently and ask media to please respect her privacy at this time.”
The news comes just more than a week since Nelson missed out on the girl group’s The Search final and their performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards. “Jesy is unwell and will not be appearing on tonight’s final of Little Mix The Search. She will also not be hosting or performing at tomorrow’s MTV EMAs,” statement on social media from publicist Simon Jones said at the time.
Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock still performed “Sweet Melody” at the awards show, which you can see here.
Nelson has yet to publicly comment on her wellbeing.
