Jason Mraz has teamed up with pop star Meghan Trainor for a romantic new duet “More Than Friends” off of his highly anticipated new album Know.
Mraz posted a snippet of the song to Twitter on Friday morning (July 27) with the caption, “There are few artists as talented, joyful & present as @Meghan_Trainor. I’ve been fortunate to witness this firsthand in the studio with Meghan creating “More Than Friends.” Share it with someone you’d love to love more than friends. :)”

Mraz’s new release is a lovesick acoustic song about friends who want to take their relationship to the next level and become as the song says, more than friends. The duet is sung in a back-and-forth style with Mraz opening with, “It feels like we’ve been friends forever and we always see eye-to-eye/ The more time we spend together, the more I want to say what’s on my mind/ Take it easy ’cause it ain’t easy to say I wanna be more than friends.”
Trainor responds, “At the risk of sounding foolish/ I don’t wanna fool around no more/ So if we’re gonna do this, then let’s do this/ You could fix my broken heart if it’s all yours.”
The singers complement each other well on the track’s catchy chorus and summery, carefree vibes, making it a must add on any hot weather playlist.
