Class is almost back in session, Stingrays! On Monday (Oct. 19), Jamie Lynn Spears announced she’s about to drop her new single “Follow Me (Zoey 101)” ahead of the upcoming Zoey 101 reunion.
Produced by Chantel Jeffries, the track will be a reimagining of the original theme song for the classic Nickelodeon sitcom, which was famously co-written by the star’s older sister Britney Spears, and is set to drop Thursday (Oct. 22) via Republic Records.
On Sunday (Oct. 18), Jamie Lynn — who starred as Zoey Brooks for four seasons from 2005 to 2008 — teased the upcoming reunion with a brief Instagram video. In the clip, the words “Are you ready?” flash on screen before fading away, coinciding with the opening line of the original theme.
A follow-up trailer shared by the star on TikTok also features an instrumental version of the track as scenes from the series play out before a grown-up Spears pops up alongside fellow PCA alums Sean Flynn, Matthew Underwood, Chris Massey and Erin Sanders to announce the pending reunion. (Victoria Justice, Austin Butler and Paul Butcher appear to be missing from the virtual get-together.)
Billed as See It First: The Follow Me (Zoey 101) Experience, the special will air exclusively on livestreaming platform Veeps on Oct. 25. In addition to the original cast members, the event will also include famous influencers like Dixe D’Amelio, JoJo Siwa, Gigi Gorgeous, Noah Beck, Loren Gray, Sofia Reyes and more.
While they wait for the new single to drop, fans can purchase tickets for the livestreamed Zoey 101 reunion on the Veeps website.
