Kelly Clarkson kicked off another week of stellar Kelloyke covers on Monday (Nov. 30) by diving into Justin Bieber’s 2016 hit “Sorry.”

The host of The Kelly Clarkson Show delivered the No. 1 smash while wearing a glamorous black gown accessorized with a bejeweled brown belt.

“You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty/ You know I try but I don’t do too well with apologies/ I hope I don’t run out of time, could someone call a referee?/ ‘Cause I just need one more shot at forgiveness/ I know you know that I made those mistakes maybe once or twice/ And by once or twice, I mean maybe a couple of hundred times/ So let me, oh, let me redeem, oh, redeem, oh, myself tonight/ ‘Cause I just need one more shot at second chances,” Clarkson sang before belting out the track’s questioning chorus with her trademark vocal flourish.

Back in the winter of 2016, “Sorry” became Bieber’s second consecutive chart-topper on the Billboard Hot 100, following Purpose lead single “What Do You Mean?” After reigning for three weeks, the song was later succeeded at the top of the chart by fellow Purpose-era ballad “Love Yourself,” making Bieber only the twelfth artist in Billboard history to replace himself at No. 1 on the Hot 100 following the likes of The Beatles, Boyz II Men, Usher and Taylor Swift.

Clarkson’s cover, meanwhile, follows last week’s trio of countrified Kellyoke takes on Lady A’s “Need You Now,” Bonnie Raitt’s “Love Me Like a Man,” and Billy Currington’s “Let Me Down Easy.”
