It seems like the year of Taylor Swift surprises isn’t quite over yet. Because Swifties are basically the world’s best unpaid detectives, news emerged over the weekend that some intrepid fans had uncovered an ASCAP registration for a remix of Haim’s song “Gasoline.” Coincidentally, Haim announced on Monday (Feb. 15) that “Gasoline” would be the next single from their 2020 Women in Music Pt. III album.

And, not for nothing, Taylor’s favorite number — 13 — is prominently featured in the tweet announcing the single’s release. At press time, spokespeople for Swift and Haim had not responded to requests for comment or confirmation of the rumored collaboration, which would follow the sisterly trio’s vocals on “No Body, No Crime” from Tay’s Evermore album.

Swift sent hearts soaring before the Valentine’s Day weekend by releasing the “Love Story (Taylor’s Version)” remake of her beloved song from 2008’s Fearless album, which quickly racked up nearly 6 million on-demand streams (audio and video combined) in the U.S. on its first day of release Feb. 12, according to initial reports to MRC Data.
