Harry Styles pushed back his Love On Tour North American Tour to next summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Originally scheduled to begin on June 26, 2020 at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, Styles will take his Love On Tour beginning August 14, 2021 at the Tacoma Dome before traveling all over the U.S. until the end of October. All opening acts will remain the same. Along with the 39 new dates, Styles will treat his New York-based fans with a special Harryween Fancy Dress Party from Oct. 30-31 in Madison Square Garden featuring Orville Peck and Madison Cunningham.

“This summer we were excited to be bringing Love On Tour to North America. However, due to the ongoing threat from Covid-19 we have been forced to reschedule these dates to next summer,” the English artist wrote on his Instagram today (June 10). “The well-being of my crew, and all the fans around the world will always hold top priority. I can’t wait to see you all out on the road, as soon as it’s safe to do so.”

The “Watermelon Sugar” singer also addressed that he’ll be spending the unanticipated year waiting to perform by educating himself on how to be a better advocate for justice and equal rights. Influential entertainers have also deliberated how to best utilize their massive platforms following the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade and many more Black Americans.

“We are in a moment of necessary change and growth in the world. I will be using this time to listen, and to educate myself on how I can help more in the fight for justice and equal rights for all in the future. I hope that you will take the time to do the same” he wrote before signing off with his signature rule, “Treat people with kindness. I love you all. H.”

Back in March, the former One Direction member postponed his pan-European tour dates when countries began closing their borders as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Anyone who knows me, knows that performing has always been my favorite part of working in music,” Styles identically explained at the time. “However, during times like these, the safety and protection of touring crew, fans, and everyone else around the world is an immediate priority.”
