Halsey and Kelsea Ballerini took their friendship to the stage for an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads, and fans got the first glimpse of their girl-powered team-up on Wednesday (Jan. 22).
CMT unveiled the girls’ performance of Halsey’s “Graveyard,” on which the pair alternated verses and harmonized on the chorus for a haunting rendition. Real-life pals who have shared karaoke nights together, Ballerini and Halsey clearly enjoyed performing each other’s songs, both smiling and bouncing around the stage.
The latest Crossroads installment was filmed at the Ascend Amphiteater in downtown Nashville in October. From the looks of the “Graveyard” video, it was a rainy night for filming the special — but that didn’t stop Ballerini and Halsey (or the lucky fans who got to see their duets in person) from having a good time.
Halsey and Ballerini’s CMT Crossroads special premieres March 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.
