Talk about giving a whole new meaning to “out of the picture”! On Wednesday night (Sept. 16), Gwen Stefani shared a Photoshopped throwback picture on social media, replacing ex-husband Gavin Rossdale with longtime love Blake Shelton.

“#Datenight @acmawards w my boo @blakeshelton gx,” she captioned the photo, which featured her younger self wearing a black crop top with floral embroidery and victory rolls while a younger Shelton is pasted in next to her, wearing an oversized trench coat and long flowing locks under his black cowboy hat.

Fellow The Voice coach Kelly Clarkson appeared to be a fan of the photo tweak. “how can we like this more than once? [heart emoji],” her official Kelly Clarkson Show account commented on the post.

Stefani had previously shared the original vintage photo featuring Rossdale on her Instagram feed back in Sept. 2014, just 11 months before she filed for divorce from the Bush frontman after 13 years of marriage. (The former couple’s divorce was later finalized in April 2016.)

Following her split from Rossdale, the erstwhile No Doubt frontwoman found love with her fellow coach from The Voice, going public with Shelton in November 2015.

During Tuesday night’s ACM Awards, the couple of nearly five years took to the stage at the historic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville to perform their latest duet, “Happy Anywhere.” The sweet country track, which Shelton released during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, follows his previous three musical collaborations with Stefani: 2016’s “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” 2017’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” and 2019’s “Nobody But You.”

Currently, both Stefani and Shelton are gearing up for season 19 of The Voice alongside fellow veteran coaches John Legend and Clarkson.
