Picture-perfect, you don’t need no filter — but you need the perfect song to go with your latest Snapchat. That’s why the social media platform launched Sounds early Thursday (Oct. 15), which features a snippet of Justin Bieber’s new single before its release.
Now, Snapchatters have access to a curated music library so their favorite songs by established and emerging artists can soundtrack the short videos they send to friends and family. Snapchat’s Sounds list will exclusively feature a sample of “Lonely,” Bieber and Benny Blanco’s new collaboration that’s set to drop first thing Friday.
When a user receives a Snap with Sounds, they can swipe up to see the song title, artist name and album artwork. A “Play This Song” link will also pop up to let them listen to the full song on their desired digital and streaming platform, such as Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud.
