For King & Country unveiled the hopeful music video for their new single “Together” on Monday (May 4).
With assists from Tori Kelly and Kirk Franklin, the emotive clip features stories of people around the world affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and life in the age of social distancing.
“If you’re lookin’ for hope tonight, raise your hand/ If you’re feelin’ alone and don’t understand/ If you’re fighting in the fight of your life, then stand/ We’re gonna make it through this hand in hand,” Kelly harmonizes with brothers Luke and Joel Smallbone before launching into the rallying cry of the chorus backed by a gospel choir.
Written while cooped up in quarantine, “Together” serves as the Nashville-based Christian duo’s follow-up to their 2019 album Burn the Ships, which featured lead single “Joy” as well as the Dolly Parton-assisted “God Only Knows.”
Due to the pandemic, the band’s run of summer tour dates, which were set to kick off June 4 in Tyler, Tex., have been postponed.
