This week Shakira is celebrating five years since the release of her self-titled English language album Shakira, which was released March, 21, 2014.

For Shakira, this album represents a great step in her career At that time, the Colombian superstar surprised fans by releasing “I Can’t Remember to Forget You” with Rihanna and also unleashed the song “Dare (La, La, La),” which became popular during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 12, 2014. It spent a total of 18 weeks on the chart and three weeks in the list’s top 10.
