Entrepreneur Elon Musk and singer Grimes showed off a picture of their 10-month-old baby X AE A-XII from a location the Tesla founder described as “Starbase,” Texas.
In the cute snap, Baby X is reaching out toward a flower arrangement while proud papa Musk holds him up and Grimes looks along from behind futuristic golden shades with a white flower in her hair.
Last month in an Instagram post, Grimes shared a picture of herself fondly embracing X AE A-XII, who looks on at what appears to be a statue of the futuristic Maschinenmensch robot from the pioneering 1927 sci-fi film Metropolis.
“Tell me of the waters of your homeworld,” Grimes captioned the image, quoting the sci-fiction novel Dune. The indie pop star and the SpaceX CEO welcomed their first child together in May 2020 after roughly two years of dating.
In the new snap, Grimes, who recently signed a recording contract with Columbia Records, appears to be hanging out in the town on the Texas Gulf Coast where Musk has said he plans to build a city of the future. “From thence to Mars, And hence the Stars,” Musk wrote in a tweet last week about the family’s new Lone Star state home.
