Colombian singer Lao Ra’s Spanglish lyrics for Dillon Francis’ future-pop single “White Boi” tell the tale of a cross-cultural love affair, and while her new beau may not understand what she’s saying, his body is speakin’ her language.
“This is an ode to the white boys in my life and how exotic and endearing they are to me,” Lao Ra says in a statement. “Think Dillon loved the fact that he was a white boy himself. The song might be about something else tho, but that’s for you to find out.”
The music video for “White Boi” sees Francis and the saucy miss Lao Ra chilling poolside, eating shaved ice and just generally lookin’ sweet together in the Dominican Republic. “White Boi” is the latest from Francis’ forthcoming Spanish-language electronic dance album Wut Wut, scheduled for release on his own label IDGAFOS Friday, Sept. 28.
“This record is really special to me because it’s one of the few songs on my album that’s in both English and Spanish,” Francis adds. “I think Lao Ra is a freaking star, and working with her was a dream come true. It was so easy to write this song together, and we’ve already started working on many more.”
