Blackpink posted a 30-second teaser on Sunday night (Nov. 22) for what is described as an “around the world” event, with times and coordinates for 20 cities.
The video does not reveal when the event will take place, but it promises: “Blackpink around the word. Coming soon!”
At press time a spokesperson for the group said no additional information was available on the event. What we do know is that it’s slated to take place in more than a dozen cities, including Seoul, Paris, New York, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg, London, Istanbul, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Singapore, Jakarta, Los Angeles, Mumbai, Toronto, Tokyo, Kuala Lampur, Taipei, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
The video mostly consists of images of the cities and their longitudes and latitudes along with a time, with the boxes eventually making way to a digital image of the planet with a golden crown hovering above it. The quartet released their long-awaited debut LP, The Album, in October, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
