Chappell Roan is set to perform at the 33rd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, which will be held on March 2 in West Hollywood, California.

The event, known for attracting a star-studded crowd each year, will be co-hosted by Jean Smart, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Burtka. It will also feature members of the Benefit Chair and Committee, including Megan Thee Stallion, Hozier, Sharon Stone, Sean Penn, Mick Jagger, and Jeffrey Wright.

“Music has always been a force for change, uniting communities, raising awareness, and inspiring hope in the fight against AIDS,” Elton John stated. “Today, as AIDS continues to take a life every minute, this spirit propels our mission to end the epidemic by fighting against stigma and ensuring equal access to care,” said the founder of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. “David and I are excited to gather with friends and supporters once again, and we are thrilled to have Chappell Roan, whose authentic artistry embodies music’s power to create change, perform this year.”

Last year, John performed “Are You Ready for Love” alongside the musical headliners, the group Gabriels. The event raised a record-breaking $10.8 million, surpassing the previous record set in 2022 by over $1 million. This success was partly due to a live auction that included bidding wars over Chopard earrings, a glittering Yamaha piano, and John’s personal items.

“Since its beginning in 1992, The Academy Awards® Viewing Party has raised nearly $115 million—an amazing testament to what we can accomplish when we unite with purpose and passion,” said Anne Aslett, CEO of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. “Although progress has been made, HIV remains a significant threat to vulnerable communities globally. Events like this provide the resources needed to continue our progress. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports the Foundation and look forward to seeing how their generosity creates lasting change for those living with and affected by HIV.”
