ARMY, it’s time to rejoice because BTS is breaking records yet again. Adding to their already record-shattering career, the Bangtan Boys just celebrated another one of their YouTube videos surpassing the billion view mark on the platform, the video platform announced on Wednesday (Sept. 8).

This is their fifth video to achieve this milestone. “Fake Love” joins the billion views club alongside four other singles they’ve released in the past few years: “Dynamite,” “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey, “DNA” and “MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)” all hit the billion views mark before “Fake Love.”

“Fake Love” has also enjoyed massive success on the charts. The single hit No. 1 on on the Billboard K-Pop 100 and spent a total of 56 weeks on the chart following its release in 2018. The song also made its way to the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 10 in June of that year, spending six weeks on the chart.

The news of “Fake Love” hitting the billion-view mark comes days after BTS officially became members of the 2022 Guinness World Records Hall of Fame thanks to their impressive — and lengthy — list of achievements. The Bangtan Boys received their induction into the Hall of Fame for becoming the most streamed group on Spotify, the most followed group on Instagram and the most Twitter engagements for any artist, in addition to 20 other accomplishments.
