Britney Spears has left Los Angeles due to the ongoing wildfires, the pop star shared on Instagram Thursday (Jan. 9).

“I hope you are all doing OK !!!” she wrote, posting a video of a doll wearing pink beaded heels. “I had to evacuate my home and I’m driving 4 hours to a hotel !!! I’m posting these adorable shoes to lift people’s spirits !!!”

“Most people may not even be on their phones !!!” added the “Toxic” singer. “I wasn’t the past two days because I had no electricity to charge and I just got my phone back !!! I pray you’re all doing well and I send my love !!!”

Spears is among many celebrities — and thousands of California residents — who have been forced to leave the Los Angeles area since wind-driven fires erupted in Pacific Palisades on Tuesday morning (Jan. 7). The flames spread rapidly across the city, moving faster than first responders could contain them. Additional fires have since ignited in Hollywood Hills, Pasadena, Altadena, Sylmar, and Calabasas, with at least 10 reported fatalities, according to CNN.

Many structures have been destroyed as the fires have scorched a total of 36,365 acres, reports indicate. Celebrities such as Tina Knowles, Brad Paisley, Mandy Moore, and Jhené Aiko have also lost their homes in the devastation, with each sharing their experiences of the destruction.

“Just behind the immeasurable loss of life is the loss of the proof of life,” John Mayer wrote in a recent emotional post about the widespread damage. “I don’t practice prayer but tonight I will say one for everyone who no longer has these items. It’s not about the art and the collectibles. It’s the photos, the letters, the class rings, the eyeglasses and the things we keep to remind us that those we loved were here. May those who have lost so much find some semblance of hope and support from their family and friends.”
