Britney Spears recently took to Instagram to respond to critics who mocked her appearance, calling those who hated on her “jealous” in a now-deleted post.
The pop star shared her thoughts after receiving negative comments about her hair in one of her latest videos. The post began with her expressing excitement about the arrival of spring, before addressing the criticism. “Spring is here, yes, yes, yes, I’m so damn excited!!!” she began. “And for the incredibly sad comments that say that I look bad … I feel so sorry for you guys.”

“I thought my hair was beautiful and I do have a cold and it has affected my voice,” she continued. “And I have been held back from going to Mexico for four months and since flying and traveling is the main thing for my health and well-being, I do have a small virus.”
After explaining the reasons behind her appearance, Spears took another jab at those who criticized her. “But just like the comments and people who said they were my best friend, it’s people like them who are so jealous, they will do anything to keep from living my life and in my highest manner,” she wrote.
“I feel sorry for people like that … Hopefully we can all be kind to one another,” she added.
The post came shortly after Spears shared a heartwarming moment involving her son, Jayden James. She posted a video of her 18-year-old son showcasing his impressive piano skills, calling his talent “so sick.” In the caption, she wrote, “WOW WOW WOW!!!”
In a follow-up video, Spears expressed how deeply her son’s performance moved her. “My son just played, oh my God! I felt it in my bones, and my heart, and my lungs, and my ass, and my throat and I’m scared!” she said.
She ended the caption with, “He’s a genius and I’m in awe of him!!! I can’t believe he’s mine!!! I was honestly scared that’s not normal!!!”
