Panic! at the Disco singer Brendon Urie raised more than $134,00 for the Highest Hopes Foundation — which supports non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights — on Friday (Nov. 15) during a 24-hour charity Twitch stream.
According to a release, the event featured appearances and giveaways from special guests include Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun and DJ/producer Dillon Francis.
Watchers also got a few surprises, including the premiere of an original metal song from Urie and giveaways from Panic and friends at Oculus, HyperX, Beat Saber, Call of Duty and The Game Awards.
Earlier this year, Urie received the Inspiration Award at the 2019 GLSEN Respect Awards in honor of his commitment to LGBTQ youth.
Panic! recently released their soaring version of “Into the Unknown” from the soundtrack of Disney’s Frozen 2.
