Rainn Wilson knows all too well that Billie Eilish is the biggest fan of The Office. But when the two hopped on Instagram Live together today (May 18), he declared it was time for her to move on to a new show.
The “Bad Guy” singer told her icon, who plays the assistant to the regional manager Dwight Schrute in The Office, that she finished binge-watching the seminal sitcom for the 15th time during quarantine. “I just finished watching The Office for a 15th time two days ago,” she confessed. “Every time I hit that episode that says finale, I’m always like, ‘Godda–it!'”
“William, it’s time to move on!” he ordered while addressing her by her nickname, William Eyelash. “It’s time to move on to another show, really. Please!”
He interviewed her as part of his media company SoulPancake’s IG Live series Hey There, Human, which unites people dealing with this pandemic from all over the world. But just last May, Wilson tested how well the 18-year-old superstar knew The Office on the first edition of Billboard’s Quizzed series. She’d seen the entire show 12 times back then, which means she’s rewatched it three more times in the last year. Looks like it’s time to dust off her handmade award from the “Office Olympics” episode to remind everyone who’s the real No. 1 fan of the franchise.
