As the anticipation builds for Billie Eilish’s first major livestreaming concert endeavor, “Where Do We Go? The Livestream,” the Grammy-winning superstar has revealed more details on what to expect from the show, which airs live from Los Angeles on Saturday.
That includes a newly announced pre-show, which will take place at 5 p.m. ET (ahead of the concert at 6 p.m. ET) and work in the debut of a never-before-seen clip from her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, plus special guests, giveaways, contests and exclusive content debuts from the event’s partners.
Those partners are Beats; Blohsh, Eilish’s clothing line; Fender; Gucci; Postmates; Support + Feed, the nonprofit founded by Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird; Verizon; and Live Nation and Crew Nation, the promoter’s charitable fund to support touring crews impacted by coronavirus-related cancellations. The livestream is sponsored by Global Citizen, Verizon, Postmates and the National Independent Venue Association.
When it comes time for the concert itself, attendees can expect a fully immersive experience inspired by elements of Eilish’s halted 2020 world tour. To that end, Eilish worked with Moment Factory — the live production team responsible for her physical tour — to bring the experience into the livestreaming space.
Eilish will perform on a 60-foot-by-24-foot stage surrounded by enormous LED screens, joined by her brother and collaborator Finneas along with longtime touring drummer Andrew Marshall. The show will utilize extended reality (XR) technology, multiple cameras and 3-D environments, and include virtual interactions with 500 pre-selected fans.
As previously announced, the livestream will be hosted on Eilish’s website and powered by livestreaming platform Maestro, with interactive production by lili Studios. Each $30 ticket to the livestream, available here, also includes access to exclusive merchandise and an on-demand replay of the show for the first 24 hours after it airs.
