Billie Eilish is an open book in her songs. But when it comes to her private life, the “My Future” singer tells Capital Breakfast host Roman Kemp in an interview this week that she’s decided the best call is to keep her love life to herself.

“I definitely want to keep [my relationships] private. I’ve had relationships and kept them private, and even the ones that I’ve had, with the tiny amount that I’ve let the world see, I regret,” says Eilish, 18, who has managed to mostly avoid the intense scrutiny of her romantic affairs that stars her age endure. “I think about it sometimes. I think about the people that have made their relationships OD public, and then they break up, and it’s like, ‘What if it goes bad?'”

Plus, she doesn’t really want to hear everyone’s opinions about her relationships. “It’s very much something I’m not interested in,” she says.

Eilish has mostly been lying low lately, though she and brother/collaborator Finneas recently made their debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series on a meticulously re-created set that mirrored the show’s cluttered office vibe.
