The band reunited once again on Tuesday (June 16) over Zoom to perform their song “Worldwide” 10 years after its original release. Carlos PenaVega, James Maslow, Kendall Schmidt, and Logan Henderson sang an acoustic version of the song, and the video was uploaded to PenaVega’s YouTube channel.

“These challenging times around the world have made us want to connect with all of you so much. They have also made us want to stay connected with each other,” PenaVega wrote in the video’s description. “We got inspired to record and sing together again seeing how many smiles our check in video created weeks back. We spent some time recently recording one of our favorite songs (safely apart) and wanted to share it with you all as our small way of saying thank you. We are sending love to all of you WORLDWIDE. Please take care of yourselves, take care of each other, pls take care of all of your fellow neighbors. We’ll be thinking about you.”

Big Time Rush hosted the reunion of a lifetime on Monday (April 20) while each member stayed cooped up at home. And they advised their loyal fanbase to do the same.

“It has been a minute!” James Maslow exclaimed in the minute-long video, uploaded to BTR’s Twitter and soundtracked by their groovy 2011 single “Windows Down.” But the boys aren’t surfing at the beach again like in their music video. “We wanted to jump on this virtual hangout and say hi and wish everybody well. Hope you guys are all staying healthy during this crazy time.”

“It’s a great time to stay connected like we are, and I think it’s a great time to reach out to friends and family,” Kendall Schmidt jumped in.

As Logan Henderson asked everyone to “continue to stay home and stay safe” and “practice a little bit more love and compassion,” Carlos PenaVega “spread that love, spread that aloha” to everyone watching. But BTR fans couldn’t contain their excitement when PenaVega signed off by saying, “See you guys soon” — which caused a Twitter frenzy of memes featuring Stephen Kramer Glickman, who played the boy band’s fictional manager Gustavo Rocque in their Nickelodeon sitcom, as well as snippets from their “Boyfriend” video that premiered during a Big Time Rush episode.
