Well wishes continue to pour in for Katy Perry on the birth of her new baby, and the latest comes from none other than Beyoncé. On Tuesday (Sept. 1), the new mom took to social media to show off the sweet gift sent to her by her fellow superstar.
“Ily @beyonce,” Perry captioned the snap on her Instagram Stories, showing off the massive all-white flower arrangement Queen Bey had delivered to the “Smile” singer’s home. “Congratulations on the new addition to your family! – Beyonce,” reads the note attached to the collection of roses, peonies and other gorgeous flora.
Perry has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days. Just a day after announcing the birth of baby Daisy Dove — her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom — the pop singer also released her long-awaited fifth album, Smile.
The LP features singles “Never Really Over,” “Harleys in Hawaii” and “Daisies,” the latter being a reference to the name of her newborn christened in song.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé is still riding high off the release of her latest visual album, Black Is King, which she unleashed in July, just one month before Perry’s big album unveiling. Featuring songs from The Lion King: The Gift, her 2019 companion album to Disney’s The Lion King, the musical film features cameos by everyone from Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o and Kelly Rowland to Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Jessie Reyez.
