Vocal powerhouse Bebe Rexha poured her heart out with a lively performance of “I’m a Mess” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday (Oct. 18) — as the show continued to pay homage to New York’s finest while broadcasting from Brooklyn all week.
A post break up, self-loving tune — “I’m a Mess” puts Brooklyn native Rexha’s dreamy vocals front and center, showing off her notorious full-bodied, vocal attack. Wearing an all-black outfit, the pop star energetically moved across the smoke-filled stage, as she sang in front of a blue neon sign that read “Im a Mess.”
Bringing a sassy mood to the show, the foot-stomping tune offered self-assuring lyrics as Rexha reminded herself, “He don’t love me, he don’t love me/ But that’s okay ‘Cause I love me, yeah, I love me/ I love myself anyway.”
