Ariana Grande might have gotten all of her favorite things for her 27th birthday last Friday (June 26), but her Victorious co-star Matt Bennett polished one of her No. 1 hits for the occasion.

Bennett paired up with his pal and artist Shintaro Yasuda to cover “every song on Thank U, Next,” her Billboard 200 No. 1 album from February 2019 which he also polished the artwork for with a picture of him wearing Grande’s merch. “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, here is our version of 7 Rings. Happy Birthday @ArianaGrande :)” the 28-year-old actor wrote on Twitter yesterday (June 28).

He uploaded a YouTube video of their electronically tinged emo-punk cover of the pop star’s trap-laden sensation, which samples Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “My Favorite Things” from the 1965 musical drama The Sound of Music.

And if Grande says so herself, which she did yesterday on Twitter, Bennett and Yasuda’s rendition “outeverythinged the original” while giving Arianators “3OH!3 vibes.” She called the birthday present the “most insane surprise ever” while pleading him to release his cover of “In My Head” next.

Check out the “7 Rings” singer’s priceless reaction and the new version of the hit below.
