The Pop Songs chart measures total weekly plays, as tabulated by Nielsen Music, among its reporting panel of 167 mainstream top 40 stations.

The coronation for “Next” on Pop Songs marks its latest on a Billboard chart, after it led the all-genre, streaming-, airplay- and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks, beginning with its Nov. 17, 2018, debut, marking Grande’s first Hot 100 No. 1. The smash has also ruled Streaming Songs, Digital Song Sales, Pop Digital Song Sales and Dance Club Songs

Grande concurrently debuts at No. 30 on Pop Songs with follow-up single “7 Rings,” which bows with just three days of airplay in the Nielsen Music tracking week ending Jan. 20, after it was released at midnight ET Friday, Jan. 18. The song channels the melody of The Sound of Music’s “My Favorite Things” and is expected to soar onto next week’s Hot 100 (dated Feb. 2), following a full first week of data tracking.

Both “Next” and “Rings,” currently stand-alone singles, are expected to appear on Grande’s forthcoming next album, believed to be titled Thank U, Next.

All charts will update Wednesday (Jan. 23) on Billboard.com.
