Ariana Grande announced that she is taking a social media break, and opened up about her anxiety via Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 17).
Grande shared a selfie of herself wearing green lipstick for A Very Wicked Halloween, which celebrates the 15-year-run of Wicked on Broadway. “Can’t believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today,” she said in her post. “Not today satan ! not tomorrow or the next day either not no more [. . .] finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye.”
Grande also announced that she is taking a break from social media in a since-deleted post. “Ok today was v special and i’m so grateful i was able to be there,” the singer wrote on her Instagram Story in reference to filming A Very Wicked Halloween, via PEOPLE. “Time to say bye bye again to the internet for just a lil bit,” Grande added. “It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always.”
Grande’s performance of “The Wizard and I” will air as part of NBC’s Wicked concert special on Oct. 29.
