Stian Andersen – Alan Walker

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s an alien invasion. It’s the music video for Alan Walker’s bright and shiny stomper “Darkside,” and it’s got all kinds of craziness going on.

It all makes sense if you’ve been paying attention to the unfolding trilogy. The story started with “All Falls Down,” wherein a post-apocalyptic vision of humanity exists without modern technology. A prequel came with “Tired,” explaining that a solar storm decimated the planet’s infrastructure, shrouding the human race in a new kind of intellectual and electrical darkness. “Darkside” shows the second installment in this epic tale, dubbed “the World of Walker.” Two sects of man meet in the middle to greet a strange new beginning.

The song itself is triumphant and upbeat, even as the lyrics of singer-songwriters Au/Ra and Tomine Harket lure one to the shadows. It’s got a swinging jump to its rhythm, sure to please Walker fans around the globe. The Norwegian producer is also about to make his North American fans happy with upcoming performances at Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo and more. Check his upcoming dates below, and tune in to the third installment of the World of Walker series with “Darkside” below.
