A couple of A-list former coaches of The Voice are already considering performing at Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s wedding, from Miley Cyrus to now Adam Levine.

Cyrus threw her hat into the ring earlier this year, and Shelton wondered who would “turn down an offer like that.” But he had already submitted Levine’s name — much to the Levine’s surprise.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up on Monday (March 29), Levine said he “would love” to do the honors before joking that “they can’t afford me.” Even though he says the longtime couple haven’t officially asked him to perform at their nuptials, the former Voice coach shares that he found out on national television that Shelton already had him in mind.

“I was at home in quarantine, like, watching late at night, just watching Seth Meyers. And [Shelton] was on Seth Meyers. And I’m like, ‘Oh, look at this a–hole.’ Not Seth Meyers — Blake,” the “Memories” singer teased. “And they’re talking about marriage, and he’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna get Adam Levine to come play. He doesn’t know it yet.’ And I’m like sitting there in bed eating popcorn. And I’m like, ‘Man, f— you. I’m not coming to play at your wedding.”

During Shelton’s appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in December, the country singer tossed Levine’s name in the hat. “He might not like it, but Adam Levine’s going to get the band together and come and play our wedding,” the country singer said of Maroon 5, and even referenced the band’s 2015 music video for “Sugar,” in which they showed up unexpectedly at weddings. “I’ve already seen a music video where they crash people’s weddings, and he owes me a lot for just putting up with him over the years. So you can get Adam to come be our wedding band.”
