With a little help from her daughter Monroe Cannon, Mariah Carey took to social media on Monday (Nov. 9) to thank Beyoncé for sending her the latest Adidas x Ivy Park collection.
The adorable clip starts with the nine-year-old leafing through her mom’s new memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, and pointing out a photo in the book of herself and President Barack Obama.
Then, Roe notices the giant portable wardrobe that’s arrived courtesy of the fellow superstar and pushes back the backdrop, which features a mountainous floral landscape against a cotton candy sky, to reveal the new line of Adidas x Ivy Park athleisure with an exclamation of, “Whoa, this is awesome!”
As Old Dirty Bastard’s iconic bridge in the remix of Carey’s 1995 No. 1 hit “Fantasy” plays in the background, her sassy progeny proceeds to try on the various looks, modeling them for the camera. “Thank you Beyoncé,” she declares. “We love the ensembles! Roe Roe Diva, signing off!”
If social media is any indication, Carey seems to be one of the first lucky celebrities to get their hands on Bey’s newest Adidas collaboration, which dropped Oct. 30 after weeks of teasing social media roll-out from the singer.
The collection features tops, bottoms, hats, accessories, masks, and more in vibrant shades of coral pink, azure blue, “canari” yellow, honey and “de-grassy” green.
