Madison House and Insomniac’s 10th anniversary edition of Electric Forest has been cancelled, organizers announced on Tuesday (April 21).
“Electric Forest (EF) announced today that based on input from state and local authorities regarding public gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic it has cancelled its 2020 event,” a statement read. “The beloved music and camping festival, which sold out within one hour of its public on sale last December, was scheduled to celebrate its 10th anniversary June 25-28, 2020 in Rothbury, Michigan. EF HQ posted official news of cancellation on its website this morning. Ticket holders will be offered the option to receive a refund or to retain their tickets, which will be honored at the 2021 Decade One celebration.”

The four-day camping festival was meant to return to Rothbury, MI., in June, bringing three headlining performances from festival favorite The String Cheese Incident, as well as annual performer Bassnectar (this time for one set). Australian Grammy nominee Flume was also set to bring his critically-acclaimed live show, with Major Lazer and Diplo performing headlining sets.
Electro-jammers Big Gigantic, dance-pop kings Louis The Child and The Disco Biscuits return, while newcomers Big Boi, Boys Noize The Black Madonna, Petit Biscuit and more make an EF debut. The bill rounds out with more than 100 artists, including Cashmere Cat, Duke Dumont, 12th Planet, G Jones, Gryffin, Tchami, Clozee and many more.
Electric Forest 2020 was set to come to Michigan Thursday to Sunday, June 25 to 28.
