Niall Horan took to Twitter on Thursday (Sept. 26) to announce the release of his new single “Nice to Meet Ya.”
The song, which is set to debut Oct. 4, will be his first single since his “Seeing Blind” collaboration with Maren Morris in 2018. Horan previewed the song on Twitter with the caption “After nearly 2 years since ‘Flicker’ i’m ready to go. My new single #NiceToMeetYa is out October 4th. Pre-save now.”
Back in June, the One Direction singer revealed he would be releasing new music by the end of this year. Earlier this month, the singer shared his excitement about his upcoming second album with fans. “I’m laying here listening to songs from my new record and I’m so excited to get going. Can’t wait for you to hear the fun I’ve been having over the last year,” he tweeted.
The news comes just one day after Horan tweeted a link to his website, which immediately crashed, with the caption “it’s time ….” The release of “Nice to Meet Ya” falls almost two years after the drop of his debut album Flicker, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It featured the singles “Slow Hands” and “This Town,” which peaked at No. 11 and No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
“Nice to Meet Ya” is set to debut on Oct. 4. Check out the full teaser below.
