Halsey got quite the scare while watching Jordan Peele’s latest horror film, Us.
The “Without Me” singer shared her thoughts on the movie in a tweet Sunday (March 24), writing that she almost passed out on three separate occasions.
“‘Us’ was so awesome. I had a really bad cold when I saw it and I was holding my breath from suspense and almost passed out like 3 times. Weirdly made it more fun,” Halsey wrote.
She also called Peele — who won an Oscar for his critically acclaimed 2017 thriller Get Out — a “mastermind” who film buffs will be talking about for generations to come.
“I can’t wait until 5 years from now when we’re all viciously debating our favorite Peele film,” she tweeted.
Us is killing it at the box office. Peele’s movie did terrifying business at the Friday (March 22) box office, grossing $29 million for a projected $67 million-plus weekend.
That would mark one of the best starts ever for a pure horror title behind It ($123.4 million) and last year’s Halloween sequel ($76.2 million), according to Box Office Mojo.
