Selena Gomez is showing her support for Benny Blanco after the producer received a new, flattering title to add to his impressive resume.
During an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the singer-actress expressed her excitement over People magazine naming her boyfriend—whom she has been dating since the summer of 2023—one of 2024’s Sexiest Men Alive. This list included notable names such as the male cast of New Girl and fan-voted winners like Tim McGraw, Jonathan Bailey, Glen Powell, and Joe Jonas. “That’s my man!” Gomez proudly declared about Blanco. “It was very charming.”
The founder of Rare Beauty continued, saying she felt “beyond proud to know that there is someone in the world who deeply cares about every tiny detail about who I am.” She added, “And to have someone support me, encourage me, inspire me and motivate me, it brings me a joy.” “More than anything, he’s just my best friend. I’m really, really lucky.”
While John Krasinski officially received the title of Sexiest Man Alive this year, Blanco was given an honorable mention, and a profile about him was published by the magazine on November 11. In the article, Blanco opened up about his relationship with Gomez, calling her “a true best friend that I get to do everything in the world with, and every day is the best day of my life.”
He shared, “I go all out for every date,” adding, “We go all out for each other. One time Sel was like, ‘Oh, I want to take you on a date.’ We drove somewhere and she had rented out a whole botanical garden for me. She also likes something so simple. For Valentine’s Day, I got her Taco Bell, I made her movie-theater nachos, I found her favorite pickles from Texas and I deep-fried them for her. Then [I had] all her candies and Hot Cheetos.”
