Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez’s first husband, claims that her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs, played a role in their divorce. Lopez is currently going through her fourth divorce. In a recent interview on the Spanish show Despierta America, Noa reflected on his brief marriage to Lopez, which lasted from 1997 to 1998. When discussing the divorce, he stated, “Part of that divorce was Diddy’s fault.” He explained that when Lopez received a significant sum from Sony, Diddy was involved as a producer for her first album, “On The 6,” which he believes initiated the issues between them.
Noa noted the challenges of maintaining their relationship due to their busy lives and being on opposite coasts. “I was in Los Angeles opening my restaurant and she was between Miami and New York working on the album,” he shared. He indicated that the distance contributed to the problems in their marriage. Lopez and Diddy were in a relationship from 1999 to 2001.
Previously, Noa mentioned that their marriage ended because of Lopez’s increasing fame and her love for romance. He remarked, “Jen loves being in love, but she’s been engaged six times. Ben [Affleck] is husband No. 4.” Reflecting on his own experience, he recalled, “I was husband No. 1, and she told me I was the love of her life.” He expressed that their relationship changed as she became a megastar, and after seeing her marry Affleck, “the feelings came flooding back.”
