The track will appear on ‘The Greatest Showman: Reimagined’ album, due Nov. 16.
Panic! At The Disco dropped a triumphant rendition of “The Greatest Show” ahead of the forthcoming The Greatest Showman — Reimagined album on Friday (Nov. 2).
The new arrangement pays tribute to the film’s original opening track, boasting similar anticipation-building dynamics. This time around, frontman Brendon Urie’s powerful vocals and a trumpet ensemble lend the song a jazzier rock sound.
“I admire Benj and Justin’s work and applaud the groundbreaking soundtrack they created for ‘The Greatest Showman,’” said Urie of the film’s songwriting duo (Benj Pasek and Justin Paul) in a statement. “I’m excited I got a chance to add a little of my own theatrics to the reimagined version of ‘The Greatest Show.’”
The Greatest Showman — Reimagined will feature songs including P!nk’s already-released “A Million Dreams,” as well as new covers from Kelly Clarkson, Sara Bareilles, Pentatonix and more.
