Liam Payne could use a shoulder to cry on.
In the video for the title track of the singer’s debut EP, “First Time,” the former One Direction star looks lonely in the big city. Consisting mostly of long, sad shots of Payne wandering the streets of New York at night, the clip (which dropped Sept. 20) finds the singer unable to connect with the mysterious blonde woman he seeks.
After spying the woman in a bar and then hitting the streets with French Montana behind the wheel of a classic car, Payne hangs in the subway, walks empty avenues and chills while Montana drops a few bars outside a bodega and then, finally, re-connects with the elusive woman of his dreams.
“First Time” is the lead track from Payne’s solo debut, which was released on Aug. 24.
